WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE I APPLY?

Participating in the Leadership Development Academy requires a commitment of time and resources from each participant; however, earlier cohort members report their experience in the program and the rewards of their participation outweigh any sacrifice made to attend.

  • Participants are selected through a competitive application process and are chosen from staff and faculty of the university community. Recommendations from supervisors and Leadership Development Academy alumni are encouraged and considered.
  • The 2025 Leadership Development Academy begins January 29, 2025 and meets bi-weekly on Wednesday afternoons through April 23, 2025 for 12 sessions.
  • Applications will be available on Tues, Oct. 1, 2024.
  • LDA Open House for interested applicants: Tues, Oct. 15, 2024, 5:30pm (Location: Ledonia Wright Cultural Center Gallery). RSVP by Fri, Oct. 4.
  • Application due date: Sun, Dec. 1, 2024.

THE APPLICATION PACKET CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Leadership Development Academy application
  • Resume/CV
  • A letter of support from your direct supervisor (sent to clce@ecu.edu)
  • Optional additional recommendation letter
